There are people who have encyclopedic knowledge, who recall router model numbers, algorithm names, physical constants, baseball statistics, proper spellings of words... i am not one of that number. I solve the challenges that face me anew each time we meet, and i will only vaguely remember the path through the maze tomorrow. I'm "clever" in part because i can't rely on recalling minutia; i create for much the same reason.

I was raised in a place and time where children commuted by foot or bicycle, and i've not really set that practice aside. I'm somewhat of a zealot, it is true.

I'm not writing this for your edification, gentle reader; rather, i scribble the words to remove them from inside my head, in hopes that giving them form will help quiet the voices. I don't expect anyone to actually read my ravings (hence the lack of an avenue for feedback; also, managing authentication tokens is a pain, and unauthenticated feedback descends to the lower levels of hell super fast), and, honestly, woe to any who gazes into this darkness.
